Month Four Must Haves

Everyone is doing these monthly must have posts, so I thought I would join in. Its a lot of fun to see the differences and preferences of what other mom's use. So here are my must haves for month four.

1. Vera Bradley Metropolitan in Lemon Parfait: I originally didn't want to get the Vera baby bag, but sort of regret it now. I thought this would be a great diaper bag since I didn't really like the style of the baby one but the baby one had essential diaper bag pockets and functions that I overlooked when buying. I now have my eye on a skip hop versa. Regardless I bring  this bag everywhere and having a bag dedicated to baby stuff is essential.

2. Boogie Wipes in Grape: These are a must have for pretty much any age in my book. The product does what it says, it wipes the boogies. The grape just smell really good, so get them!

3. Sassy Guitar Toy: This is Lyric's favorite toy. He can't leave the house without it. I should probably buy a few extra just for that reason. If we go out to eat he has to have it in front of him to play with on the table, or at home on the floor next to his mat. And especially in his carseat with him when we are in the car. We've tried other toys, but he can't do without his guitar.

4. Mam pacifiers: We have tried 5 different brands of pacifiers, and these are the ones he likes best. He is by no means a pacifier baby, but if I hold it in it keeps him content for a little longer. Like in the grocery store, or in his bouncer.

5. Pampers Swaddlers Diapers: We came home from the hospital using Huggies, but didn't really like them. We used the stash we got up from the hospital, but quickly went to pampers swaddlers. The indicator line is always a plus, even though these days he whines and lets us know when hes wet. He's in size 1 of these. We also use pampers sensitive wipes- I've tried almost every brand/scent/style wipe and these are my favorite. They are the perfect thickness, the smell isn't too harsh, and they are sensitive on his little booty.

6. Johnson's Bedtime Bath & Lotion: These are my favorite baby wash & lotion. I really like the calming smell of these and they work great for our little guy. We give him a bath at night with the wash, I use it like a bubble bath and also put extra on his washcloth to wipe him with. Afterwards he gets lotioned up! We also use Johnson's baby shampoo.

7.  Summer Infant Bath Seat: We use this bath seat pretty much at all times. We leave it in his bathtub, fill the tub up a little bit with water and then set him on the mesh seat. It has had a few recalls but we never leave him unassisted in it, and since he doesn't really "play" in the bath yet he's usually only in it for 3-5 minutes tops. Long enough to get clean without getting cold. Once he starts to splash and move around more we will move to a different style sitting up seat.

8. Moby Wrap: I've used this since we brought him home from the hospital, and probably every day since then. Its great for when he is fussy and wants to be held, but I need to get something done. I also use it every time we go grocery shopping, it frees up my hands, saves room in the cart, and prevents me from having to bring the stroller inside with us.

9. Carters Fleece Blankets: We have a few of these and they are the best. Perfect size, and really soft and cozy. We use them daily at home, and bring one along if its chillier outside also. They aren't too big so traveling with one isn't a hassle.

10. Playmat: I bought this when I was pregnant just for the piano on the bottom... I got TONS of music themed stuff to go along with his name. This turned out to be a fantastic purchase since we use it daily, multiple times a day. He loves to lay on it and look into the mirror and has so much fun kicking the piano and hearing it make noise. More recently he has been holding onto the rings and flipping himself over. The first time he did that I almost had a heart attack.

11. Snugabunny Swing: We had this on our registry from day 1 and I'm so thankful we did. Its so soft and cushy and he seems really comfortable in it. He has used it everyday since coming home from the hospital. He takes at least one nap a day in here, and if he doesn't nap he loves to listen to the music and watch the birds spin around on the mobile. There are several different speeds which is great for soothing, and then you can slow it down when they fall asleep. Probably one of our most used baby items.

12. Carters Outfits: These are my favorite outfit sets, I love sweatpants on babies and these are a perfect fit. I love that it comes with 2 shirts, a long sleeve and a short sleeve. I would buy these in every color if my husband would let me.
